They change the chart to show 40%-100%, or maybe even start at 50%. It would make the differences more view-able.

    True.
Nice to see most AV's with good results but EAM score was a bit low.

I always wonder who is responsible for these graphs ?

why show us picture with 50%-60% on each axis being empty

why not simply zoom to the 60+ quadrant and make it easier to look at

common sense don't apply I guess

Thats because graphs that don't start from 0% are rubbish and they completely skew the perception of actual performance of AV's (or whatever it was drawn on the chart).

I don't mind the 0% starting point...but what's wrong with using BAR GRAPHS?

This is quite possibly the worst "graph" I've ever seen. If the point is to confuse the viewer by providing non-descript data that is practically unviewable, then they succeeded. Big time.

    FOXP2,

Not going to purchase this just to see if it verifies your post. If you would care to give a synopsis with more details, that would be greatly appreciated or a link to a good review of Virus Bulletin's findings.

Fortinet's drawback is speed (lack of...), otherwise it's really a great piece of freeware!

I've been running Fortinet on a laptop set aside for testing. Its true the on-demand scan speed is very slow, but that is really not too important concerning protection. The URL filter seems to block alot of legitimate sites but if you contact them, they correct it usually within a day.

  13. Yep, three years ago it was mediocore (worse than VirusBuster), so they improved a lot.

oh thanx SweX, didn't catch that

When you refer to Fortinet, you mean the lite or the standard client? Or do they use the same signatures?

There is only one Fortinet now, the lite has been discontinued.
The lite webpage is still there, but if you download the installer, you'll end up with the regular.
