Hi, I would like to ask anyone with a Virgin super hub 2 a question about their internet speed.
Having been promised speeds of 150mb , i eagerly set up the hub. I also use a Belkin N600 router, so had the superhub in modem mode.
    Speed test
    Wired connection via Belkin 50mb
    Wireless via Belkin 40mb
So today i disconnected the Belkin, turned on the superhub wireless
    Speed test
    Wired to hub 160mb
    Wireless to hub 50mb
Today I am getteing faster wired speed via Belkin 75mb, so I realise these speeds vary depending on time or day.
So is the only true way to achieve the maximum speeds, to be directly wired into the superhub ( without a router )
    Many thanks

I am a Virgin super hub user,
Short answer yes , you will have to wait of Virgin super hub 3 which will have faster speeds,
The Superhub 3 (officially known as the 'Superhub 2ac') is already out, new Virgin Media broadband customers have got them over the last few weeks. It looks exactly the same as the Superhub 2, except this one has 802.11ac in it.

Thanks warrior99 , apparently mine is the Superhub 2ac ( dual band )
I am getting the speeds, but not wirelessly, nor in modem mode
