For future reference with things like this, if extending doesn't work, i "suppose" you could uninstall Completely & then reinstall the new one

 

If you wanted to just switch out to a different key, just open VIPRE and go to Help > Register. Here just input the new key and it will switch your registration to that key. No need to reinstall.

You can also contact our Customer Service and they will usually be able to merge two subscriptions for you. Although, I don't know if there are any kinds of rules about give away promotions. You can contact Customer Service through email at customerservice@sunbeltsoftware.com or you may call them toll free at 800-336-3166 (9am-6pm EST) or internationally at 1-727-562-0101 Ext 700
