View TIB description

I have Acronis TI Home 2009 and DiskDirector 10.0. I'm running on Vista Business. I have two questions:
1. What is the simplest way, using TI, to view the description of a TIB file that I typed in at the time I created the TIB?
2. Is there any capability, outside of TI, for viewing the description of a TIB file? For example, does Acronis have a Description-Viewer utility?

One way to view the description is to
1. open TI 2009
2. Choose Restore
3. Browse to the your backup archive file and select the specifid file
4. Choose the details option at the top right of the menu.
5. Exit Acronis when complete.

Now let me re-ask my question about a viewer. Does anyone know of a viewer or any third party program that displays the description of a TIB file. Such a program would make the description field much more useful.

 

I've never heard of such a program.

I agree with Grover's approach, but I use the Validate option instead since there's no chance of accidentally starting an unintended Restore.

 

Good suggestion about using Validate. As for an external viewer, I suppose there just isn't any.

I'll be looking forward to having this Description field "viewer" utility. I believe it will make the Description field much more usable and useful.

Hopefully, you will make the utility so it can also read the comments from older TIB files (TI 8 and up, for example) and properly display the comments for each Incremental/Differential backup included in the set. If it only shows the last one (the default for older versions), then its value will be much less.
