Video player for Win 8 mobile

Hi,

The built-in music+video app in Win 8 mobile does not play a number of formats including .flv It doesn't even show the video files of .webm even when the files show up in the memory card.

Please recommend a good app for Windows 8 mobile which can play at least .webm I can't find any in the store.

 

Unfortunately I can only find Yxplayer WP8 which has poor reviews. Your best hope is to wait for VLC to come out for WP8 or try getting your videos in a supported format.

No mention of Windows Phone however.

Still no mention of Windows Phone 8 specifically; however it looks like VLC for Windows 8 passed Microsoft's validation process:

That's really great news. Hopefully they will announce a release date soon.

From what I've read, VLC will support Windows Phone 8.1 and above.

Excellent news. Finally a concrete assurance. I can't wait to use VLC instead of the stupid and useless built-in xbox music player.
