Prevx has been getting a bit of a bashing over it's claims lately. So i thought it only fair that we could examine other vendors claims and see how they stand up, or not.

    NOTICE

This is not intended to be a general free for all type vendor bash discussion, just one that shows published statements from them.

    Here's one for starters.

    some little differences:
    - You could answer the first question with "No" :p
    - no other vendors are named

I think you could maybe find better examples.

    ( "No" ) To what ?

( no other vendors are named ) Where ?

    -

    ( better examples )

That was just a start, but they definately make some bold claims as you can see !

yeah, and why not..... If you or me won an accreditation from an independent testing organisation I would definitely shout about it..... the issue discussed in the other thread was using what can be seen as highly inaccurate internal data and presenting it as definitive......... I have yet to find anything that isnt substantiated on those websites apart from the Hitman claim...

I agree - why not. They all blow their own horns in their own way to get customers. Try it, like it and buy it and if it works up to your expectations there you go...

Everyone tried to distinguish themselves from the competition in an effort to attract customers. If you claim to be the best, you will be challenged by the competition. This is business every day. It's why you have to test a product yourself. Everyone says they are great. Just ask them. ;)

Wise words... ;) If they are honest, they'll lose business. They won't say: Hey, buy our product. It won't detect all, but, at least, we'll be the ones getting your scarce money! :D

You can't? I sure did, I contacted them, got a 2 week trial key and took it for a spin. Now I have a license...imagine that... :) Lets not get another Prevx rant going here. I never once mentioned Prevx specifically...

Yes but not everyone is going to contact them to get a trial key....if they wanted people to have a proper trial it would be built into the program....there is no argument to counter that.

For some reason you threw Prevx out at me and my post. I never brought up Prevx in ANY post. I in friendly fashion replied that I did not want this to turn into a Prevx flame thread that is ALL I said. The original poster wanted this to be a thread looking at quote "other vendors claims." You folks chat about whatever you want here, the world will keep spinning...:D

I agree there should be a full trial version of (fill in the blank). I will probably move on to OA AV+ when the nifty new version with new engine comes out...
