Variants Discovered

    On installing Webroot Spy Sweeper ESS reported that 2 variants of Win32/AdInstaller had been deleted by Quarentine. I'm guessing these have something to do with the fact Spy Sweeper now has the Ask Toolbar in its installation package, but are these really Win32/AdInstaller Variants? of is this a FP :ninja:

    I would say that it's FP, but I'm only guessing :D

    It isn't false positive.


    They are variants because ESET have generic signature to detect all variants of this peace of crap , not only one variant only . The detection a variants of Win32/AdInstaller is generic detection.
