V5 incompatabilities

I installed version 5 and it caused all kinds of problems on my computer. The following problems were created after v5 installation:
1. Gadget system wouldn't start. When I specifically started using the the right click and select gadget, it would crash on one of my gadgets (All_CPU_Meter). Also,
2. I have Stardock's Objectdock. That wouldn't start up. I had to manually start it on each boot.
3. My Zonealarm firewall didn't load properly
4. The ESET GUI wouldn't load.

I have tried removing and reinstalling several times. I have reverted back to version 4 which worked just fine. Has anybody had one or more of these issues with version 5?

FYI: I am running Windows 7 Pro 64bit, Quad core laptop.

 

Does disabling HIPS make the problem go away?

 

I have uninstalled v5 because I couldn't verify that my firewall or ESET was running properly. I will do some verification this weekend. Can you give me a series of tests that you would like me to perform so I can do them this weekend as opposed to one at a time?
