uTorrent 3.0.1 build 25815 final

    Hi
    uTorrent 3.0.1 build 25815 released few hours ago
    it's the final version
    -http://www.utorrent.com/intl/it/downloads/complete?os=win

    mine it's stuck @ v. 2.2.1
    and every time i check for updates ,
    can someone explain why does not update itseft ?


    which version do you use ?

    25806 is the latest version from the uTorrent site as well as File Hippo. I always manually download anyway as like you say the updater rarely says there's a new version available. No big shakes.

    Everything • post build 2.2.1 is generally considered bloatware. You should turn off the phone-home feature. It phones home to the client server when you are using the software.

    uTorrent has a forum for these sorts of queries, you should check there. I would hazard a guess that would be under preferences, privacy, deselect the boxes that may apply to the version you have installed. I don't run uTorrent. Ask at the cited board for more help or check the FAQ and or documentation.

    I use portable version 2.2.1. Build 25302, it's the last true portable

    How so? Settings.dat doesn't work properly anymore?

    Version 3 creates a "cache" folder in AppData, but maybe the PortableApps version handles it.
