Using virustotal i detected a trojan in the snoopfree download!!

    I ran a scan on the download of snoopfree since i wanted to install this software because from what i read in various posts this is a good piece of software to have.

    Like i always do regarding downloads if i don't forget it i ran it through virustotal.com and one scan engine detected a trojan see screenshot below...
    I don't know if this is a trojan or a false positive.

    Is it only me that encounters this or has this mentioned before that snoopfree can set of some false positives?

    Snoopfree is not a trojan an doesn't contain any. It is a false positive, provided you downloaded it direct from the authors website. http://www.snoopfree.com

    Yes, i did downloaded it directly from the link you mentioned.

    I just wanted to know what the deal was and as you say it's only a false positive and maybe the author also wound find this interesting.
