I have an image file of an OS (XP) created by True Image and would like to use that instead of installing the OS from scratch. Is there a way to copy the .tib file into a newly created primary partition to allow me to boot from it?

Up to now I've been successfully using True Image to 'swap' between 98 and XP but was hoping that Disk Director and its OS selector would allow me to avoid the time taken to reload the image each time I needed either OS.

Unfortunately, I can't find any reference to this in the User's Guide.
Is there a way to do this?

    Many thanks!

    Hello Konfusion,

Thank you for your interest in Acronis System Utilities.

You may restore your image to the empty partition and there shouldn't be any problems. After that please let us know what your configuration is and what you want to do. We will certainly help you with the solution.

    Thank you.
