    jdd58,

I'm away from home at present and don't have BIBM but can you look in BIBM Settings and let us know some geometry settings? Is "Align on 1MiB Boundaries" or "Align on Cylinder" selected?

Click "View MBR" in BIBM. What is the Start LBA of the Partition(s)? You can get this from Partition Properties too.

What partition alignment was present on the old HD prior to the Copy?

Which OS are you using? How many partitions did you copy?

I think I sorted it out. Align on 1 MiB boundaries is checked. LBA 2048, was 63 previously which is what the old drive was.

Vista is the OS. Just copied one partition..

Is there any way to shrink all the old images I have without mounting them first? Thanks.

I am happy to report that my SSD arrived today and the transfer was painless. Having shrunk the original partition with BIBM previously, the restore today went smoothly with Shadow Protect. I was glad though knowing that if I were to run into trouble, there are many helpful experts around this board.
