Good thing I don't or I didn't directly. It had become a nuisance some time ago and so abandoned the feature. However isn't it about a blip that logging into any google account throws you into Chrome with that version.
tl;dr - You can disable auto login in Chrome, or you can use Chromium. Or in some cases, Firefox or whatever. Although some Google stuff only works with Chrome. Such as their 2FA service.
Chrome 69 will keep Google Cookies when you tell it to delete all cookies https://twitter.com/ctavan/status/1044282084020441088?s=21
So you need 3rd party extension or software to delete those? Right now, I'm happy that I moved to Firefox.
Got rid of Chrome a while ago but like look and feel of it so I use Brave instead, I have been testing out the 64bit version of Comodo Dragon it is not bad either but it is a version behind at 68 not sure what will change when it updates to 69.
This automatic login happened to me a few days ago in Chrome on Ubuntu. I think it logged me into Chrome after I logged into Gmail. But so far, here in Win 7, it hasn't happened. I don't like it either.
No need, just logoff from Google services first then delete all. It's always the best to logoff first from any service. Disabling "account-consistency" flag may also allow you to delete truly all cookies but haven't confirmed it, tho I've been disabled the flag for a time, since I always logoff as soon as I finished the work for any service. Google (and some other) never understand why some ppl are not willing to get "convenience" they offer.
