Username password won't work for trial download?

    I am using a newly build, properly functioning Windows 7 Pro 64bit machine.

    I signed up for a trial download of ESET Smart Security, recieved the email with the link and another with the username and password. problem is that they are not working, anfter three attempts it goes to Authorization Failed error page.

    My logon window shows a message:

    "...the server is requesting that your username and password be sent in an insecure manner (basic authentication without a secure connection)..."

    How to I change this in Windows 7? I have ESET on my old XP machine and never had any problems downloading or updating the program.
