A few years back i was noticing a bit of stickiness in the way my machine was acting, i do a lot of installing as well as uninstalling, I'm pretty sure you can all understand that.. So i went from one place to the next looking for an answer, then one day at Tech Guy Forums a member suggested i try the User Profile Hive Cleanup Service UPH for short, the download was quick and easy and the difference was clearly visible. After time i uninstalled it until two days ago my machine was acting sticky again, to make a long story short i reinstalled the UPH tool again and the difference is again clearly visible..

Hope this helps if any of you are experiencing a machine with the sticky fidgets.. :argh:

What was the point of uninstalling it to begin with? It takes up virtually no space, uses virtually no memory, and runs unnoticeabley.
It should be a permanent fixture on all XP computers.

The development status of this service app is officially dormant:

Also, it's helpful only in specific scenarios:

I used it when I ran Windows 2000 and it worked quite well and helped a lot. Haven't used it on XP though.... It's useful to some....
