useful regedit tool

this program helps navigate to a key/sub-key in regedit. just tell it where you want regedit to open and it will jump/open there, instead of having to navigate manually.

Wow, my memory is bad. last night i was going through some of the tools i've downloaded from sysinternals and i ran regjump once.

i just tried to launch registry jumper, from post #1, from the command prompt and i can't do it. i don't know how it's supposed to be done

Like this ICE ....

regjump hkey_local_machine\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\run

Leave a space after regjump, and use the full registry hive ... otherwise it tends to overshoot.

I get page cannot be displayed. Xp pro-SP2

 

On my Win 2000 Pro sp4 in IE all works fine. Did you run Registry Jumper before trying to click? Also may be it can't write to registry and register itself? I am runnig Windows as Administrator, may be you are not.

on a freshly (only 1 hour old) installed and updated XP Pro VL-SP2

 

You do not have Registry Jumper in the location where you started it last time. I just renamed the folder with the program and got the similar message.

 

What folder. Didnt download Registry Jumper. I only clicked on the links in

these dont work. Do I need to d/l registry jumper to use them.
