Thanks, @mood, It made me realize that although version 1.0.8 was released August 27, 2021, the latest build is from October 20, 2022. I'm not sure why the version number wasn't updated when there was a new build. Something for me to take into account when checking for new builds.
USBImager 1.0.9 released, January 22, 2023. https://gitlab.com/bztsrc/usbimager https://bztsrc.gitlab.io/usbimager/ Note: There was no macOS version 1.0.9, yet. The macOS version was still 1.0.8. A new macOS version was released later.
USBImager 1.0.9 released for macOS as well, January 24, 2023. https://gitlab.com/bztsrc/usbimager https://bztsrc.gitlab.io/usbimager/
New USBImager Linux X11 versions with embedded Unifont were added, Linux PC X11 uf (with embedded Unifont, +512K), and X11 wo uf (simplified interface with embedded Unifont, +512K). This because of an issue in which the (no uf) X11 version only shows boxes (or nothing) instead of text. This isn't an USBImager issue, but rather an X11 fontconfig problem. This is remedied in the newly added X11 uf versions with embedded Unifont. https://gitlab.com/bztsrc/usbimager https://bztsrc.gitlab.io/usbimager/
USBImager 1.0.10 released, October 2, 2023. https://gitlab.com/bztsrc/usbimager https://bztsrc.gitlab.io/usbimager/
USBImager 1.0.10 binaries updated, October 6, 2023. This was because of issue 127, 'does not see the usb flash drive'. bzt wrote, 'I've updated all the binaries'. USBImager User's Manual was updated as well. The updated binaries and User's Manual modification/creation date is October 5, 2023. https://gitlab.com/bztsrc/usbimager https://bztsrc.gitlab.io/usbimager/
+1 Hi @EASTER and thanks to all. I haven't tried USBImager on an image yet but it looks good. I love simple functional utiilities.
Same for me. I use balenaEtcher AppImage, but it is good there are alternatives like USBImager. I keep a USBImager Linux X11 uf, and a Linux GTK+ for in case I need it.
USBImager 1.0.10 binaries updated, October 14, 2023. This latest binaries update was because of issue 134, 'Can't run on raspberry pi'. bzt wrote, 'I've uploaded the new binaries'. There were some more binaries updates earlier, for issues 130 and 132. See the issues overview. USBImager https://gitlab.com/bztsrc/usbimager https://bztsrc.gitlab.io/usbimager/
