usb hard disk not picked up by acronis

    Hi there,

    I have a usb hard disk adapter (generic) and it isn't picking up the disk in acronis true image. The disk however does work and is showing up in windows explorer and disk management in xp. Any ideas?

    First of all, please make sure you use the latest build of the appropriate version of Acronis True Image. To get access to updates you should first register your software.

    If updating does not solve your problem, please collect some information to help us study the issue thoroughly and provide you with a solution:

    Create Acronis Report as it is described in Acronis Help Post.

    If you have experienced the issue under Windows, please create Windows System Information as it is described in Acronis Help Post.

    If you have experienced the issue when booted your computer from Acronis True Image Bootable CD, please create Linux System Information (sysinfo.txt) as it is described in Acronis Help Post.

    Then submit a request for technical support. Attach all the collected files and information to your request along with the step-by-step description of the actions taken before the problem appears and the link to this thread. We will investigate the problem and try to provide you with a solution.
