It's just like Microsoft buying Giant Software, basically so that it could benefit from Giant's already-made spyware detection code - which was extremely good might I add. However the less aware won't know that Microsoft Antispyware is not actually fully Microsoft coded - or at least it didn't originate from Microsoft. Well done Microsoft..

Well, what can one do but use the software. It was good when it was Giant, and it's good now that it's Microsoft also.

Let us just look at history for the answer. I hope history is wrong but it is usually a good indicator:

Then: Netscape (now owned by MS) vs. Now: FireFox
MS NewFound AV AppX vs. Brand Name AV

As we say in the "South", now what do ya'all think is the out come of this? :D

    How about this:

"2055 - Microsoft announces wish to take over European Union - European Union declines - Microsoft secretly buys Kofi Annan in multimillion dollar soccer-style deal and reprogrammes him to open all the ports to the European Union.

2056 - European Union is hacked and all of the members become slaves to Microsoft.

2057 - European Union and Microsoft work to take over the world."

Could be a reality.... if Kofi Annan was a robot, I guess.

Totally in agreement . How funny . Has MS EVER made ANYTHING worth buying ? GEEZ . Like American Car builders , they make it so it will break so they can sell you something to fix it . Every Windows version costs money yet , NONE are secure . OH , but WAIT ! They WILL secure it with another NEWER version . Here we go again . The neverending story of piss poor software from the richest man in the world . It never ends

Yo, Microsoft bashers, if you don't like Windows, use another OS or write one yourself.

Alright maybe I was a bit harsh, but Microsoft have became so big, and also been involved in many highly controversial court-cases, that's it's just considered normal to have a go at them once in a while. Also, Microsoft are dominating the market in the sense that, if you really do want to use a PC terminal to the best of it's abilities, then you will need at least one piece of Microsoft software.

Congratulations on them gaining their empire, but it's a bit like a Formula 1 race - with Schumacher winning every single one.

Yup, when you're number one you walk around with a big bullseye on your back, just look at Norton. ;)
