    US Secret Service joins Twitter

    THE US Secret Service, the elite team tasked with safeguarding the nation's leaders and visiting heads of state, opened a not-so-secret Twitter account today.

    The law enforcement agency has already attracted nearly 8000 followers - despite sending just three tweets on its first day of activity.

    So far, the Twitter account has been used for recruiting rather than crime fighting.

    The agency's latest tweet at around 11am (local time) reminded students at Sullivan County Community College in Loch Sheldrake, New York, to meet Secret Service recruiters at a job fair tomorrow (AEST).

    Great. Now, they're promoting public participation. Everyone can get to play spy. Hahaha :D
