I thought I lived in the great USA. The US has talked so strongly about China unjustly regulating the internet, and now they are doing it! What hypocrites! The voters didn't even have the opportunity to vote on it. There was strong opposition to this bill, and they shoved it down the throat of the American people anyway! This Bill gives unlimited power for the Government to regulate the internet unless there was key amendments made to it that i'm not aware of. What garbage!

Our present administration and Congress doesn't seem to care much what the people think. They forget that they're just elected officials who govern with our permission. They are not our rulers. Quite a few learned that lesson a few weeks ago.

I wasn't going to mention this but there is a mess that is going on in airports in the US that involves personal privacy or the lack of it and that is being rammed down the throats of the American people.

The more freedom we have, the less power they have.

As far as the 'just the tip of the iceberg' thing, we'll see. Bet your savings on it if the outcry isn't loud enough though.

there is not much to understand - everything anti-government (latter being (understood as) the lobby of certain industries and not the reps of the people) will go this road. this just beginning

and citizens form any of those countries (it is not just that particular government feeling threatened by people educating themselves through the inet) should not be so surprised, unless they start to wake up only now. it was planted by administrations long before the current ones.

it will be getting worse, simply as the pace people getting educated through the exchange of information via the inet (see various whistle-blower platforms) will increase and so will be the intensity of the kraken (ruling powers) to fight back in a struggle to stay in control (brainwashing their citizens)

it will not before long and people with an own mindset and opinion will be (declared officially) the enemy of states (sounds all too familiar, does it not?)

other (democratic) countries as well and people mostly turning their head by trusting it does not need to concern them as being a law abiding member of the community,

The biggest hurdle for the new Bittorrent DNS server project will be getting all the P2P users to switch over to the new DNS server. Those that are not as technically inclined may be reluctant to switch over, and that will lower the number of peers available for seeding. It will also limit the number peers on other networks if they are unable to download the client software due to not switching over to the new DNS server.
