    Hi Guys

No idea which thread to make enquiry regarding the above.
Recently I have double clicked on url's within a post / emails only to discover there is no response.
The only way there is any reaction is to copy and past the link. T/after no problem.
Can anyone suggest a possible reason why does this is happening or how to go about correcting this irregularity.
Hopefully someone understands what I have tried to convey.

    Tks

    Have you got javascript disabled?
    Try 'enabling' it...

    Hi Guys

    Tks yr response.
Forgot to mention from beginning that I am now using Win 7 with IE 8 as my default browswer

Checked my javascript and it is enabled.
Problems still continues because I have just not too long ago changed my email address and during the usual process of activation had to click on link as per usual. Failed to react hence had to copy an paste link.

The other browser which I use is Mozilla Firefox but I have always had IE as my default.

    Hi Xonk

Are your file associations like this?

    Capture.PNG

To check: Start > type "make a" > hit Enter > type "h"

    HTH

I was having essentially the same problem quite a while back, while links from web pages worked fine, links in emails usually didn't do anything and might even result in a "not responding" thing with my mailer (Eudora originally, then Thunderbird when I changed over). Eventually this got corrected ... don't know whether something I did (don't ask what) was successful, or it resulted from an update to the mailer or even maybe Win itself.

I agree with philby, the problem is most likely related to association setup.

    Hi Philby

Carried out your instuctions and the attached shows the Protocols listed.
The ones you mentioned appear to be there.
Just for your info I tested the process of clicking on urls in my email using Mozilla Firefox and there was no problem.
This is being replied using FF because in IE when I clicked on Manage Attachments just like before there no response.
Can I assume there might a fault in IE

You could try the Fix IE Utility?

Haven't had a need to try it here so don't know how it will go.

    Hi Guys

Late response regretted but regrettably nothing tried has produced a positive result.
I have t/fore decided to use Mozilla Firefox as my default browser which causes no problems whatsoever. Url links within email work fine.

Pls consider this thread as closed.

    Tks
