    how effective the url scan to prevent us from visiting suspicious sites ?

    It says it scans sites for viruses, but it looks it up in multiple blacklists:
    BrowserDefender
    Google Diagnostic
    hpHosts
    MalwareDomainList
    McAfee SiteAdvisor
    McAfee Trusted Source
    MyWOT
    Norton SafeWeb
    PhishTank
    TrendMicro Web Reputation
    Web Security Guard
    ZeuS Tracker

    Seeing as how fast malware/phishing sites pop out of nowhere so it's hard to keep up, using multiple lists seems like a good idea :)
