    Hi cb4f_s :)

    Nothings wrong with LNS...

There is a rule in standard and enhanced rules set for "standard" internet application
(works with almost all internet programs in TCP...)
but for applications like Msn Messenger you need some specifig rules in TCP/UDP...

I suggest you to use the enhanced rule set and check for this:

    :)

    Hi cb4f_s :)

1- check in the application filter tab and the internet filter tab to be sure that both are enabled (a check mark right bottom of each tab).

2- check in the application filter tab: the programs must be authorised with no restrictions
first column : a green square, second column a green dot.

3- In the internet filter tab use the "enhanced rule set" ...

in the third column, add an exclamation mark (!) to enable the logging of each rules

and remove all warnings in the 5 th column ...

Reboot the PC and try again your programs...

The entries in the log shows you if there is some blocking.

You may upload your rule set here that way:

    In the folder C:\Program Files\Soft4Ever\looknstop
the rule set is a file with the extension ".rls"

Make a copy of this file and, with the contextual menu, rename it by adding a ".txt" . Then upload it here ...

    In the folder C:\Program Files\Soft4Ever\looknstop\logs
the log is a file with the extension ".log"

Make a copy of this file and, with the contextual menu, rename it by adding a ".txt" . Then upload it here ...

It's also a good idea to read and understand the LNS documentation...

    C:\Program Files\Soft4Ever\looknstop\looknstop.chm ;)

    :)
