Soory for the mixed up titel - Mod's please correct if you please :):

UPnP Protocol on UPD Port 1900 still a risk?

I'm just being confronted with a program which wants to send datagrams on port 1900/UPnP protocol. Years ago their have been several disussions about vulnerabilities of UPnP together with SSDP and Universal Plug and Play, which can lead up to DOS attacks, brutal overloads, etc. What is the situation today for XP systems?

You can go to grc.com to read up on this, UnPlug n' Pray is still downloadable there and with a reason of course.
