Upgrade Remote Administrator Server v2.0.110 to 3.1.15 Fails

Does anyone have any information on how to upgrade the Administrator Server from 2.0.110 to 3.1.15. I have read that you can install over the top of current intallation, however when I attempted the install failed. I also never saw any messages asking/prompting what I wanted to import or what level from current intall. Is there a particular order? Do you have to install the Console first then the Server or the Administrator Server then the Administrator Console. Please advise...

 

First - the Server . Then - the Console .

Because if you install the Console first (try to install the Console first) , it might refuse because you'll have old versions of ERAS potentially unsupported by the new Console.

If you see error message , I would attemp to:
- Uninstall ERAS and ERAC
- Download and run Microsoft's MSI remover
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301 (after installer , run from the Start -> Programs) . Remove any ESET RA leftovers .
- Install (clean install) ERAS / ERAC v3

 

Will I have to reconfigure everything at that point?
