    Hi all,
I am thinking of possibly upgrading from windows ME to XP, can anyone advise me about using my current programs loaded on CD`s directly into XP? Is the file system different? I have several CDs with loads of stuff downloaded from the internet, can I use them onXP?

Most programs run normally on Windows XP but it's really hard to say for sure without knowing what programs you're talking about. Also WinME uses the Fat32 file system only, WinXP can use Fat32 or NTFS. Unless you are sure of what you're doing, it would be best to not even try to change file systems.

When I changed from an me loaded computer to an xp comp. I had a lot of programs on cd also and I only found one program that wouldn't run even with the compatability wizard was an old win 98 game. everything else worked just fine. ;)
