Upgrade 2.7 to 4

I have 2.7 on my system with a licence key from work. I am now no longer employed by the company & wish to d/l & purchase the latest version. Please can I have some advise as to whether I should:-

1. Uninstall 2.7 then install 4.x
2. Install 4.x over the top of 2.7
3. As 1. but reboot between uninstall of 2.7 & install of 4.x
4. Anything else I need to know?

Any help would be much appreciated!!

option 3 is your best bet.
O dont think you need to know anything else but feel free to ask questions once you have it installed.

 

I think that the best way would be to uninstall the 2.7, reboot, install the new version, reboot and then configure.

Let us know how you get on Mattius. I had problems after uninstalling v2.7, rebooting and installing v4, and had to revert to v3.
