    Hi guys,

I used to love using Tiny Watcher on Win XP, but the places that it guards are no longer enough on modern versions of Windows, and the author has not provided an updated list for several years.

However, MJ maintains an active (and most importantly, accessible) list on his nice utility Reg Watcher, so I decided to convert his default list into the right format for Tiny Watcher. I did this using a custom script, and I *think* I ironed out all the bugs.

So far it's working well, though I haven't tried to install malware! It doesn't interact well with Tiny Wall, as it will always flag Tiny Wall's entire ruleset on logon. I suspect that other firewalls will work fine.

Who knows about autorun protection, misses the good ol' days of Tiny Watcher and wants to try it out? Text files for registry changes and file/folder changes (entered into separate areas in Tiny Wall) are attached. Copy the contents into the appropriate fields (hit Options -> More Options to find them).

Thanks for posting this! I added the lists to Tiny Watcher's custom items and so far so good. Thanks again for sharing! :thumb:

No worries! Let me know if you have any issues.

I can also convert lists other than the default MJ list (eg he has some more "paranoid" versions), if people prefer those.

Now, I summon the wizardly powers of longtime Tiny Watcher fan Bellgamin to weigh in with his 2c for me :)
