I am trying NOD32 and set updates to auto mode.
My definitions are dated yesterday, if I try the manual update, I get the message "your definitions are up to date" is this normal? With KAV I could get updates almost every minute.

With Kav, they have to update their signature files very often, as they currently don’t use heuristics. With Nod they use both and their heuristics are great. If they needed to push an update out quickly, they would. Rest your mind, you are very well protected.

I was about to post this question! :p

Even though Nod has great heuristics, its a little worrying that they have not released updates for over 12 hours... :(

probably because its the weekend, but trjam is correct that if an update was crucial it would be sent out.

Well if you get infected by a zero day trojan they'll name it the Win32 / Mothersday. ;) :p :D

If you actually have these you are OK

Seriously , if there is a new high risk threat ,which is undetected by NOD , ESET guys will push an update , as already mentioned . AH , normal heuristics and definitions do protect
