Or, make sure the new Kapersky SSL cert. used for SSL protocol scanning is imported into T-Bird. If not, you will have to manually import it. Once everything verified to work OK. then delete the old Kapersky cert. in T-Bird.

    Rico....
    Open main Kaspersky GUI....
Settings wheel/gear lower left. open it....
    go to additional. open it....
go to network. open it...1/2 way down, Encrypted connection scanning. TIC the first option, Do Not Scan Encrypted Connections.
    All should be good. :thumb:

Turn off encrypted connection scanning. It interferes with websites loading their own certificates.

You'll still be safe browsing the web without it on.

2017-07-31_19-31-34.png Hi Guys, Just got off the phone from Kaspersky support:

KNOWN problem to be addressed in later updates (per tech support): settings > protection > Private Browsing "OFF" Thunderbird error message gone

I get this from one website: Tech will send work around to "Disconnect" via email

Kaspersky support phone number is: 781-503-1820.

Thunderbird error = private browsing off in KIS. She said would be corrected in future update.

    Thanks Guys
    Rico

I installed kis_2018 over _2017 per kis instructions, and all seemed aok, sweet and smooth, but then tried to us my vpn, and vpn no connect. vpn worked aok with kis_2017 and I assumed that _2018 was picking up all or most of the _2017 settings, but there must be something extra in _2018 that is blocking vpn. I see that Putin ordered no vpn in russia, maybe k sent remote command to disable my vpn :p

EDIT my vpn now working and so is kis_2018 :D
