It doesn't matter how regularly I check VLC for updates I always seem to miss them LOL! The updater worked as well.

NP - - and, for some reason, I always forget about checking the updater.

 

Done - checking for updates got only about 10 pct of the download before locking up for whatever reason, so I downloaded and over-installed the full app (automatically uninstalls earlier version, if appropriate, with the option to save existing settings and cache).
