I have 1617 but the latest is 1619.
When I try to manually update I get an instant message saying "already up to date"

I had exactly the same problem yesterday, I tried changing the update server in the settings but still got the same message.
I've managed to update today ok to 1.1620, but couldn't at all yesterday.
I am using free 30 day trial version with 25 days remaining.
I had a similar problem earlier in the week aswell, but that time I managed to get an update by changing the server of choice a few times in settings.

Paying users are prioritized in the event of larger updates, or if the update servers are extremly utilized.

Could you please try the following:

Download a fresh copy of NOD32.

Uninstall your current version and reboot

Remove the Eset folder from C Drive> Program Files

Install the fresh copy of NOD32 that you downloaded above using "Typical" settings when asked.

Let us know how you go...

    Cheers :D

    Hi Blackspear
Updating is now going as normal, 1621 as I type without any change here.

I have experienced this odd behaviour before and have, as you suggested, done a clean install. Others have too.

Also I am very dependant on 'someones' exta settings and would not run in typical mode.
    :D

Good to hear, I would run a disk check then just to rule out a failing disk...

Ahhhh but Typical is good to get you going, and after this tweaking can be performed...

    Cheers :D

Check Disk (MS) and Partition Magic give a clean bill of health.

IMHO there have been enough reports from clients (full) to indicate that sometimes s*** happens.
I merely flagged the occurrence just in case.

Im still having this problem. The auto update doesn't seem to work, unless I manually change the download server to a different one after each time I have updated.
I had virus signature database 1.1622 a few mins ago (1.625 is latest) and it did not auto update, and would not update manually when I tried it said "Your version of nod32 is up to date, no update necessary".
I have eventually managed to get it to manually update by changing the update server a few times in the settings menu.

Do you have a paid version or are you still on the trial version?

    Cheers :D

Bear in mind..those users in the US...we're having some major backbone issues over the past couple of days here as Level 3 Comm and Cogent deal with their disputes (L3 is de-prioritizing Cogent over some $$$ issues). They cover the majority of the backbones in the US..so depending on your ISP..you may have some difficulty getting to some of the update servers, amongst other things.

Hi, I have purchased a years license to use nod32 form www.eset.co.uk
However, I cannot download the latest nod32 from their site without a password and username...I have not been given a username or password in any email from them or the invoice for the license? Can I download it from somewhere else, or does it have to be downloaded from the site I got the license from?
    Thanks

The new trial version let's you enter your username & password,
so you could just download the trial and wait for the mail to arrive :)

You will need to wait for the email that has a Username and Password in it in order to download the commercial version of NOD32.

As we are in a transition period with the Trial version I would suggest the following coarse of events when you receive your Username and Password:

Download a fresh copy of NOD32.

Uninstall your current Trial version and reboot

Remove the Eset folder from C Drive> Program Files

Install the fresh copy of NOD32 that you downloaded above using "Typical" settings when asked.

Let us know how you go...

    Cheers :D
