Hey, it keeps trying to update from u4.eset.com and www.nod32.com. Even upon clicking abort it is of no use at all. At u4, it keep trying to download this update.ver and engine2.nup but it doesnt work... Even forcing it to download from another server does not work

edit: the eset update page isn't updated yet as well..

4 servers has been removed in total, and in the latest update, u4 is removed too. So keep trying.
Sadly they have disabled individual server connection errors in 2.7, so the help I can provide is rather limited these days.

Are you setup to update automatically? I don't have the servers you show in your screenshot in my server list. Have you made any changes to the default list of servers and update time?

    U4 doesn't exist anymore.

If you are still seeing this please take the following course of action:

    1. Download a fresh copy of NOD32 from HERE

For help with entering your Username and Password please see HERE

    2. Uninstall your current version.

    3. REBOOT your Computer.

    4. Remove the Eset Folder from C Drive> Program Files.

    5. Install the FRESH copy of Nod32 that you downloaded above using “Typical Settings”.

    6. Check your settings against the following Nod32 Tutorial

Let us know how you go...

    Cheers :D

It's the third time I've installed NOD32 in 24hrs. I hope it stays this way this time.

    Did you uninstall before reinstalling?

Did you remove the Eset folder before reinstalling?

U4 is no longer, so you shouldn't see it at all with a fresh download and install.

    Cheers :D

After suffering from the same update looping problems noted above, I feel the recommended installation procedure should be a clean install of 2.7. IMO, under NO circumstances should 2.7 be installed over the top of 2.5.

In my case, on a slow dial up connection, the looping was a major, major problem... :(

It occured to me only once at the time of first post here. I have since set it to a specific server to prevent all these troublesome stuff. And U4 isn't removed from my list
