I always opt out of installing the yahoo toolbar when installing Java but since installing this update I've come across a new McAfee registry entry which has Sun (developers of Java) within its properties.

Has anyone else noticed this? Or could you search in your registry and see if you have please.

I find it a bit worrying if such things are being installed without my knowledge. Not sure if it actually does anything but even so. It's says things like 'Partner First' in the reg entries and 'Offers'. Under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\McAfee.

Be good to hear if any of you have got them as well.

    Thanks.

Ade 1, FYI. Just installed Java Version 6 Update 17 and I do not have such a McAfee Registry entry.

According to Total Uniinstall on my SP2 system, the McAfee entries were added after installing 17.
