update issues

hi I’m currently running ss 4.0.437.0 64 bit in an windows seven 64 bit environment and I’m having some issue with update, my machine keeps telling me it`s up to date and no update is needed. I know that is wrong because I the virus signature database is still 5051 (20100422),this problem started about a week and a half ago for a few days the same message came up and it then suddenly updated to that day but has not updated since then. I have empted the update cache to no help..

Perhaps you should update your ss to 4.2.40.0

If you open Help -> Verify license validity, what result you get?

 

i updated it to 4.2.40.0 and at first it had the same problem but after about twenty tries it worked
