Hi, whenever I try to run the trial version of the newest version, it keeps telling me that some error has happened and that my system has not been modified. It gets to the rollback action point in the install process than it just stops with that error. When I try to give a reboot and reinstall, it says the same thing.

Stupid me, I tried installing over the old version with the new version installer, which gave me an error.. so I just went into safe mode and del'd everything I could find that had the string "eset" in it. Same goes for my registry.. I only did this since I couldn't find the Uninstall option in my Add/Remove Programs list.. so I'm assuming I left behind the old drivers, which is probably causing my install issues? If anyone could please help me out with my issue.. because I'm currently running my system without a Firewall or AV!! :(

P.S. I finally realized after deleting everything manually that I could've just gone into my start > programs > eset > uninstall ..and uninstalled it properly from there. D'oh!!!!!!

Edit* So I tried following the directions from http://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page=content&id=SOLN406 and it still keeps telling me that "My system hasn't been restarted after an installation. Please reboot and re-run the installer."

    Hello!

Please , download and install this Microsoft utility:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301

Start from the Start menu . After that , use it to manually remove anything that might have been left unremoved from MS Installer.

Then , use ESET Uninstaller utility
    http://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page=content&id=SOLN2289&actp=LIST_RECENT

Thanks to it you'll be able to remove any file/folder/driver , etc from ESET

Finally , visit ESET's download page and get the very latest version and attempt to install it.
