    Time Module Event User
20/10/2006 2:54:25 AM Update Error occurred while updating program modules (Cannot replace the current file. Check the system TEMP and TMP variables.)

I get this error over and over, and have no idea what to do. Ive uninstalled and reinstalled numerous times, tried changing locations, renaming files as it said to do in the help , it just dosent want to update the program.

    Hi Familyguy,

Nod32 has released several updates today so far (at least 5) and have updated their Advanced Heuristics module so the servers may be a little busy. I've just had problems updating (with paid version) but if you press "update" manually you should get the update after a few attempts.

    Regards

    Do the following files exist?

    C Drive> Windows> Temp

    C Drive> Documents and Settings> (User Name) XXXXXX> Local Settings> Temp

Do the "Temp and TMP" folders exist in "Environmental Variables" when you right click on My Computer as per the screenshots found in THIS LINK

When you then navigate to the folders mentioned in "Environmental Variables" are they actually there?

This error message is solely related to the following:
    • Not enough space on disk
    • Missing Temp folder
    • Insufficient rights to write to Temp folder
    • Possibly a damaged archive, although it's unlikely.
    • Permissions on the directories. Not share permissions, but actual security permissions.

Let us know how you go...

    Cheers :D
