    the free version or the paid? i have AVG paid on SP 2 and no problems i guess

    For me AVG Pro & Free created lot of issues. Had to remove it. Hopefully AVG SP2 will solve all that.

    Plus any memory usage improvements are always welcome.

    According to the AVG Team it is a bugfix-oriented and minor-feature focused release. Major new features are not planned for SP2 but rather for a release early next year.
    The memory usage should be significantly lower for all apps. This is confirmed by beta testers.
