Never seen this situation before with my 15 month old HP laptop. Have been browsing with it for more than 3 hours, but it maintains full charge . Strange, but wonderful. How long can it last?
I think it has to with the quality of the charging. I have charged my a laptop in a hospital ward, and they run on 3 Phase Power. "Electricity Supply: Single Phase vs 3 Phase Power Explained" - https://www.nisbets.com.au/single-phase-vs-3-phase-power-explained Edit. Staying in a private room after an operation, and plugged into the room electrics.
Thank you, FanJ. P.S. I didn't get any sleep this evening. So, I just became aware I my charger was still plugged in on my laptop. Silly me.
Thank you. Two nights in hospital, 2 hours sleep the first night, and none the second night. Just have to pass a test, and I will be going home the next few hours. Can't wait to get home.
Hello @Tarnak I too am wishing you a speedy recovery! Perhaps you could have an Internet browser chip implanted while you're there that runs on beer... God bless
Its plugged in. Why would you expect the battery to run down when its plugged in? Chargers are specifically sized and matched with the laptop they come with to operate the laptop AND charge the battery at the same time. Not one or the other. The phase of the power has nothing to do with this. The output of the charger is DC.
Thanks, IMDb. I note I made that statement based on the fact the OP's two screen shots clearly indicate the power mode as "plugged in". I guess I assumed Tarnak noticed that. That's what I get for assuming.
