o_OToday while doing a MSN search my screen froze. I then got a Spybot message asking if I wanted to "Download Avenue A, a known threat". I checked no and things returned to normal. Curious, I ran Ad-Aware, nothing. Then ran Spybot, nothing. I then ran Hijack This, nothing new. I always update first and run these programs alone. I then went into SBot to see it's report and it is as follows:

You're not doing anything wrong. Launch SpyBot S&D, press "Immunize", go to the "Permanently running Bad Download Blocker" section, and choose "Block all pages silently".

The AvenueA cookie will now be blocked "silently".

According to my SB report I'm using Google. However I'm not and currently am set to MSN. Also are those last two entries on SB legit?

    Thanks again, John

Those are totally clean logs. It's just one of your browser pages that has been set to use Google.com.

Here's a regfile that will restore the Windows defaults for practically everything Search-related.

    http://www.spywareinfoforum.com/downloads/tools/IEFIX.reg

Save to disk, close all browser windows, double click the file and answer 'yes' when asked to merge.
Restart your computer, and you should be fine.
