    Hi All

Not sure if this is the right forum, but asking for advice.

I've noticed that my new Acer laptop's keyboard is erratically unresponsive during its boot-up. The chief problem here is when I tried to encrypt my HDD with Truecrypt. So part of the process is to restart the laptop, insert password and the the encryption starts. However, I was basically unable to input the password!

Enter worked fine, num lock reacted, but none of my usual alphanumeric keys worked. After some random button bashing, it finally accepted my numpad/keyboard entries. I went through the (nerve-racking) process thrice before removing Truecrypt entirely.

My BIOS and drivers are all updated and the laptop works perfectly once Windows has started. It's only during boot-up I struggle.

    Am I missing something?

    Thanks!
