unlock bitlocker via email ?

Hi
I know I can unlock a bitlocker volume via email
I have a local account on my w10 pro 64bit

can i ask 2 questions?

1) to unlock a bitlocker volume via email do I need a microsoft account (and not a local account) ?

2) with a local account , where can i add my hotmail/outlook web email ?
because in the settings ,I can add only my email for w10 webclient and and microsoft microsoft store/microsoft apps

It is not about unlocking Bitlocker via sending/receiving e-mails. E-mailed code is not a Bitlocker code. It is a second factor for 2FA logging process to Microsoft account. It is not Bitlocker code.
Video shows logging to Microsoft account. Person at 1:51 is seeing Bitlocker recovery keys that are needed to unlock Bitlocker drive.
