Unity Will be Ported to openSUSE

    A logical choice on OpenSuse's part. It's either that or use Gnome 3:thumbd: . Of the two, I like Unity better. Some are talking of switching to XFCE when classical Gnome is no longer available. This idea might be acceptable but a lot of work would need to be done before I would be happy with it. I never was an XFCE fan.

    OpenSUSE is porting Unity 2D. Not a big surprise as its the version that can run on all computers that don't have accelerated cards - the reason for this is the Compiz compositing engine that works even on weak cards.

    As long as there is a choice available (between Unity and other manager), it's fine. If not, it's a very bad idea.
