    Hi @ Wilders

I use Chrome with Sandboxie Plus sandboxed (Program not forced) and I uninstalled a couple of Extensions from Chrome then shut down.

When I re started Chrome unsandboxed I was surprised to find that the Extensions had really been uninstalled.

Why is this so? I would have expected them to remain uninstalled. BTW I am just learning about Sandboxie and sandboxing.

    Any help gratefully received.

    Thanks

    Terry

If sync is on to your Google account then that's the reason why.

    Hi Mr X

Thanks for your reply. Is this because synching saves in real time Chrome profile thus making sandboxing non effective?

Sandboxing is efective no doubts. Syncing is about some data about your chrome settings/config are stored in your Google account so when you launch again your chrome in the same device or another device such settings are synced. What you can do is turn sync off and while chrome is sandboxed you may install or uninstall extensions.
