Uninstalled Norton on 3 computers and replaced it with Nod32 BETA...

The result was - tada - 18 Infections found by Nod32 not found by Norton 2004.

I have to look into these and maybe send them to eset.

    C:\WINNT\inf\other\x_update.exe - probably unknown NewHeur_PE virus
    C:\WINNT\system32\winmgnt.exe - probably unknown NewHeur_PE virus

    Found on a win2k can.

( havent done a jotti scan of them yet - the comp in question is quite far from me at the moment. Me Sweden - it Taiwan )

You need not to send those files manually provided you left Early Warning System turned on.

Thats great that NOD32 found them!
At least you didn't have 5,240 infections that your prior AV didn't find, like I did. NOD32 found all them :D :D :D :D
And I still have 58 more to get rid of somehow,(mostly spy-ad-ware)
But that's a far cry from 5,240.

It wasnt on my computer but some friends. I think it would be good for Nod32 if they had somekind of online scanner ppl could use. Might be good advertisement.

And yes i read your post - 5000+ amazing :)

Did u try the scan in safe mode like ppl suggested?
