I just noticed this file uninstall_cds.exe, there alone, in my C:\Program Files folder.

Anyone have any idea what this is?

    Absolutely nothing on google.

Scanned file with McAfee AntiVirus, ewido anti-trojan - negative!

Hey Ronjor, thanks for your reply, your time.

I did finally figure it out.

Something along the line of what you suggested.

I emailed a copy of the file to myself, which I then downloaded to another computer - using it as a "guinea pig".

I tried to execute the file on my micron P-166 by double clicking on it - nothing happened.

To open the file, I changed the extension from .exe to .txt - and voila - I was able to open it in Notepad.

It contained a lot of gibberish, but within the text file, references to uninstalling Cyberlink's Power2Go program.

And in fact - the creation date and time for this uninstall_cds.exe file, and the Cyberlink Power2Go program - are the same.

    So the file is legit.

    Thanks again.
