Anything I need to know? I know Norton is difficult to uninstall, but dont know about Norman.

The reason I ask is because I`m tired of Normans false positive, and want to trial new Nod32 2.7.

My first AV was Norton. I had to run this SymN..something, but I dont think it removed all.

    Thanks!

After you uninstall Norman & restart you should remember to delete the residual files by deleting the folder -> C:\Norman

After uninstalling Norman (running removal tool and deleting norman folder as well) this entry is left in HJT and cannot be removed by HJT:
    O23 - Service: Norman API-hooking helper (NipSvc) - Unknown owner - C:\Norman\Nvc\BIN\nipsvc.exe (file missing)

Anyone any ideas how to get rid of it or is it there for ever now?

Run cmd.exe and write sc delete nipsvc or just disable the service in services.msc
