I used it way back in the days on Win XP, my general impression was that it's a solid app, but I never really tested it on infected systems. The site also seems to be renewed:

Same here. I tried it on XP once and was done with it mainly because EP_X0FF and MP_ART's excellent development of Rootkit Unhooker Tool that always worked like a charm.

    Easter

I sure remember those days as well. Do you still use unhooker on modern systems?

Also EP_X0FF went to work for Microsoft. This Unhacker developer is still in business after all these years. Why do you think that is? And why did not EP_X0FF the great form his own company?

UnHackMe can be very useful. I used the UnHackMe Warrior CD a few years ago to remove an infection that I was unable to remove when booted as I did not have administrator rights.

Yes I remember RU, I really miss these kind of tools for Win 8. GMER is a bit clumsy.

It was a one-of-a-kind as when implimented with a tool like that it was able to rip out embedded drivers at once! safely, and quickly reclaim control right back to the you again.

Sure enough. Too bad that he isn't still developing tools like the flagship freebie that turned a lot of heads at the time. It yanked (FULLY) a lot of sticky driver hiders and other garbage-ware that i tested which were 0-day stuff. Was pleased n grateful to been a little part as a mention on that great app.
