    Hi,

Recently i've been out of diskpasce.
So i buy a very needed new secondary harddrive.
Unfortunately the window drive cleanup passed before me and compressed my c:/ drive.

The reseult is very slow boot / login.
I've set setting to uncompress it but some file are in use by window and i cant uncompress them. Unfortunately those are the very file i need to uncompress to gain speed in boot.

I'd like to knwo if there is a utility to recursively uncompress a ntfs drive while being offline (recovery console ? )

I've tried launching that from bartpe but i quite does not work.
    thank you.

So you've installed a second harddrive and your old HD with windows on it got somehow compressed?
I have the same set-up on one of my computers, but this never happened to this comp.
Do you have many services and programs running at start-up?, this could be a reason for the slow booting.

    regards

first i think only some files were compressed not ur (entire?) C drive.

if the files are in use, have u tried uncompressing them in safe mode?

    f3x,

What's the OS? The RC can do it but not recursively so to say (detail's upon reply).
